Default Hello Everyone, New to the Forum. Got an intriguing question.

I am curious if anyone has ever tried to put 5th gen headlights, front bumper and hood on a 4th gen Camaro?

it would take some EXTREME fiberglass work to pull it off, the overall size of the new 5th gen in comparison to the 4th gen is massive.

**EDIT**

to give you an idea of the size difference, a picture

Im sorry, I thought the generation changed after 98 from the sealed beam quad headlights like I have in my 94 to the lens headlights as seen in the picture you posted of the Camaro on the left. My mistake, but let me clarify, Im looking to put the newer 98 and up lens lamps into my 94 z28, along with the front bumper and hood.

gotcha, the lt1 cars ended in 97' (the 4 beam headlights) the LS cars (98-02) are what I have pictured above.

The swap is definitely something that can be done, its been done quite a few times. Use the search feature here, it should give you the info you need

Guys have done it. You basically need a whole front clip from a '98-02 donor car to make it work. It is a lot of work and can get pretty expensive depending on where you get the parts and how much paint and body work you are able to do yourself.

Full front clips go for anywhere from $700 to $1000 for a full undamaged front clip. By the time you pay for the paint supplies you would be lucky to get away it $1000 into it.

You may be able to find a part here and part there cheaper then getting a whole clip. Or if you buddy does not mind some body work a front clip with light damages would be a lot cheaper. It is a lot of work just to make your car look like a Cat fish

LT1howto.com :: Camaro front end swap 93-97 to 98+ LS1

That might give you an idea plus if your bumper and stuff is in good shape you can turn around and sell it to offset your expenses trust me people are looking for body parts
