Headers installed, loosing power!!
Not only I noticed my car's exhaust smelling a lot like fuel, but my friend with his 95 Z told me the same when he was riding behind me two days ago. Is this a commun problem when installing headers?
I wouldn't necessarily say it's a "common" problem, but you could consider getting a tune. You'll get more power out of your headers and it could clear up the rich mixture a bit.
spartan seriously, where do you get this stuff? how about an endoscope and check to see if you have any polyps on your exhaust? they may be cancerous if your car is having trouble peeing[>:]
the 02 voltage is nota rapid fluctuation. its oscillates a little slower than 1 cycle/sec typically. if your voltmeter cant keep up with that.... well, screw that. it can. at that point its operator error

The oxygen sensor should be inspected during every engine performance service, or whenever its performance is suspect. A visual inspection alone can't verify the functionality of the oxygen sensor. An oscilloscope test of the sensor's ability to respond to changes in exhaust oxygen content, as well as a measurement of its response time, will provide a more definitive diagnosis

I installed bbk shorty headers, had a new cat welded on, andmy car just died on me today. I was coming home from kragen, from pikin up the O2 sensors and my car began to hesitate a lot and woud'nt go pas 20mph. if i tried going past 20mph, the car would just back fire with a bad hesitation. I managed to drive my car home and now im waiting for the car to cool off so that i can take the old O2 sensorsoff and install the new ones.
i will post later on today what happens

If you have cat's and your O2's are bad you'll get a foul rotten egg smell and that's also an indication of bad cat's. I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that's right?
