good news turns out i have the egr and the air pump but what do i do next im confused cause i dont know the diff on how they changed it

 

ull need the egr tube off a 94-96. ill have pictures when i get done. u may have the valves.

crabby, so in my state i dont have to worry about emissions, when i do my lt headers i was planning on ripping the egr out, its already shut off, could r6rider do the same if he didnt have inspection to worry about then just get lt headers with no egr??

 

yes he could. would have to have the computer tuned for it. or have the ses light on all the time.

 

I'm looking for some headers too. I live in California (unfortunately) so what'd be the best header legal header I can get?

 

Man, I'm glad I saw this post, I also have a 93 but I dont have emissions check. I guess like Murdered said, I could just get ride of the egr and air pump. Is the tuned required to make it run right or does it just turn of the SES. Reason I'm asking is because you cant tune a 93, I have a hypertech chip and 160 t-stat. What do you think?

 

in cali u need to have the carb number on it. i think shorty headers are leagal but i dont know if carb legal lt headers are made. found this on it.

yes u can tune a 93. have u looked at pcmforless? im not sure what it would do. im pretty sure the air pump just makes the light come on but the egr im not so sure about.

 

How can you tune a 93? A chip is all I've ever heard of. It was either this forum or ls1 tech that I got that from. 93 the computer is different than any other year. It takes chips. Mine has one. Maybe you could make a custom chip but the computer cant be flashed or tuned itself can it?

 

Ok, I looked on speed density and you burn the chips. Thats what I was thinking but I guess thats still a custom tune.
