Default header question

I just found a set of long tubes for a sbc 350 with the D openings for 50$ used but there notnot for a camaro... now I know the camaro needs the bend in the pipe for the steering but I was wondering if I could modify these to work... any ideas

You could modify them it just depends to what extent. If you have access to a mig welder and a bandsaw. it could require a lot of fab work to make em fit but then again you may be able to cut the headers off before you need the bend to be, and use mandrel bent exhaust tubing pre bent from summit, for the angle you need, then weld the collector back on. this may help you some.....

the headers tuck in close to the motor. more on the driver side. i doubt you can make them fit.

Or you could cut the pipe where it would hit steering then keep bending on it till it clears and all you have to do is make it a slip fit kinda like what my hooker headers are

the first pipe has to go over to clear the body.
