is the shield still on the starter, should be a metal shield that mounts between the engine/exhaust and the starter to keep it from overheating. i use a aftermarket insulation wrap.

Hello I did some checking yesterday and the shield is on the starter I did some wire chasing yesterday and noticed the fuel pump wire connector mounted on the rear floor pan just in front of the rear end that powers the fuel pump to be a little loose and burnt a little i may need to do something with that connector i dont like whats there i can wiggle it some and the fuel pump starts working again not sure if that is part of the problem but it is not helping matters

fix it, lol. is the connector not connecting or the wire is lose and not connecting. if its the connector then you can bend the clip and sometimes it makes a tighter contact.

that holds the injecors in. you need to take the bolts out that hold it down and work it out. have you downloaded the shop manual yet.
