Default Front Turn Signals

Aight. I searched, and didnt find anything that could help, so i made a post.

1997 Chevy Camaro RS
T top, 5 speed manual tranny, 3.8 v6

just bought it for 2500, has 90000 miles on it.

The front turn signals will not work. I have the right bulbs (yes, i had the wrong ones originally), but now they are the double filament ones.
They bulbs just turn on, like the daytime running lights. Both of them turn on, but neither of them will flash when i put on hazards, or turn signal. the rear ones work fine. Any ideas?
*EDIT*
Also, i did replace the sockets. all 3 wires, the battery, ground, and the third one, are connected.
*END*

please help, the safety inspections here are holding me from actually driving my car off base.

Your rear lights maybe out. My rears did that when the fronts went out.

Check all dual filament bulbs, front & back, as mentioned before the filaments can short against each other and cause all sorts of weird problems. You may also take a good look at the wiring, looking for splices, cuts, shorts, etc.. Someone may have tried to install DRLs on the signal lites, or some other mod. Normally, the front & rear lites use the same flasher and and switch, and are spliced toghether after the switch. Kinda suggesting a wiring problem, like the rear signal lites being wired before the flasher, or a problem with the turn signal switch.
