Default First Camaro - Need Help

Hey Everyone, I have just bought my first camaro, it is a completely stock 1996 Z28 6speed manual. I am looking at doing some things to this car over the next couple of winters. Just looking for some advice on what parts(brands) to look for etc... Here is a list of what i want to do with it, hoping to get it to around 475-525 HP.

Exhaust (leaning toward Borla)
Headers (want to find ones that are the easiest to just bolt on, not a lot of fab work)
Cold Air Induction
Supercharger (Vortech)
Rear End Gears ( no idea yet, want something that will improve my accel, but not take too much away from top end)

Just wondering what else I can or SHOULD do. Or if their is anything else that would need to be done to accommodate for the above upgrades. Money is not really an issue as its not going to be all at once.

Any suggestions are welcomed. So please if you can help...HELP...

Is this going to remain a DD or is it just a Track/Weekend car?

pretty sure u will need to build the motor if u plan to blow it. i would look at heads cam valve train and tb. add that to the headers, exhaust and cai u are planning and u could get 450 or more depending on what u do.

heres a couple links to some good places. these motors will make a lott of hp. all depends on what u want to spend and do. just saying u dont need to do the forced air thing to get em. having the ecm/ecu reprogramed is a must also.

so everything you are suggesting is in place of the supercharger?

Also do you need to go to a true dual exhaust system to handle the Kooks headers?? or any headers for that fact?

yes. the bottom end on the lt1 is strong but will not handle the dd thing with a blower. not for very long anyways. no dont have to do the true dual for the kooks or most headers i know of.

ok, so from your advice I think i have decided to go with the LT1-LT4 Conversion Power Package from Edelbrock. http://paceperformance.com/index.asp...&ProdID=222293 Along with the headers/exhaust and CDI I was already planning.

Just wondering if this kit will do much for the car or could i spend that much money in another way for more power??

ill tell u what i am doing and u can decide. i will be sending a stock set of heads and stock intake to elliotts to be ported and polished. ill be getting the le2 set up with the 223/230 cam. 1.6 to 1 roller rockers, 58mm tb, new set of hyd roller lifters. with the kooks headers and catted crossover and a corsa cat back exhaust, lastly a prom retune from pcmforless. behind this ill use a performabuilt level 2 trans with at least a 2000 stall and a 373 12 bolt rear end from spohn. im thinking with the stuff i have already to add to this cia, 30 lb injectors i should be a around 400 whp.
