First attempt at doin my plugs... what a pain lol.
I'm 17 and have worked on a few older cars in my life. Everything from putting in a new radiator, Fuel pump, intake, carbs, etc. Never on newer stuff until now. It really makes me appreciate the classics more lol. Anyways, I got all of the plugs and wires changed except 3 on the passenger side. Im going to wait until next week to do the rest when I have access to a lift. Kudos to those who can do this in a day on jackstands in the driveway. You guys are awesome. Hopefully when I get more experienced with the newer stuff I'll be on your level lol.

Keep reminding yourself these cars are a technological advancement over the old school cars. However, going from a half hour to change my plugs, to half a weekend to do them on a car like yours doesn't seem like much of an advancement in all respects, does it? Any skin left on your knuckles still?

i got 3 on top on my drivers side. i removed my alternator to do my front passenger one and the rest from the bottom. and changed my belt all in the autozone parking lot and did my plug wires too, that took longer than the plugs, the passengerside wires suck !!! and after doing my opti a few weeks ago and getting ready to install long tubes i can think of all the reasons this car sucks and i should sell it lol. this motor would be great if there was more room. welcome to one of the worst american cars to change plugs on. if you can do this you can do anything, almost

doing the plugs on a 95 lt1 is a pain!! especially the 8th(?next to the steering columb) i found it easier to put my car on ramps and get the driver side from the bottom. cant wait to get my pacesetters to make this easier.

I do have a few cuts on my hands lol, but ill be okay. I can do the plugs and wires on my 56 olds all from the top in about 15 minutes. It is so easy. I could see certain headers making this easier. The y-pipe on my car was in the way of taking the starter out and when i saw that is when I decided to finish it on a lift. My skinny arms didnt help me enough lol. Im only about 140 lbs. BTW, any tips on getting the plug wire for the farthest one back on the drivers side into the metal shield on the side of the motor?

i have found that headers (kooks) make it harder. easier on the driver side but way harder on the passenger side. with stock i had it down to 30 minutes to change plugs. wires (if done right) are a pita no matter what. you need to get to the bolt holding the bracket in and take it off or lose enough to slide the wire in. not easy any way you do it.
