well since i need a new hub. should i just get a new hub and keep the old balancer or get both new? and i just did a quick search, but are the expensive balancers even worth it? like this ATI Performance Products 917270 - ATI Super Damper Serpentine Series Harmonic Balancers - Overview - SummitRacing.com.

ya ik but everyone thinks it is. just like r134 isnt freon, but everyone calls it that. its really just a crank pulley the crank itself is balanced.

We should start a thread on common (or not so common) misused automotive terms. Might be fun, and somebody might actually learn something!

Camaro69 and BC, you guys are my hero's when it comes to joking around.

But like BC said, make sure nothing else got damaged. Nothing like replacing one damaged part and then having two more destroyed cause you didn't check.

dang, well i dont really want to go that far into it, but i guess i will. id been thinking the same thing. plus im about to have a good bit of free time on my hands the next few days so i can actually get stuff done. any tips yall can give me on doing it? the farthest iv gone in that area is replaceing the waterpump. and i have another question iv been wondering today. the crank has a space for a woodruff key but the hub dosnt. so do i get a hub with a space for it on it or not?
