Exhuast cutout?

Default Exhuast cutout?

I have a 1997 Z28. i want to get exuast cutouts from jegs or summit, but i need to know some info first. What one do i get for the stock exhaust, 2 1/2 or 3 in? and if i do it will i get worse gas mileage? or any other problems? let me know thanks

i think its 2 7/8 maybe 2 3/4 but i dont thnk so. why not measure? i would thinki you would probly want to use 3

stock exhaust was 2.5" i think thats wat you would want only thing is with the cutout your not gonna see much of a gain unless you have it before the cat

it's 3". I got one for my 96 Z and it sounds amazing. and doesn't do anything to the gas mileage

so get the 3 in one and it will fit over the stock pipe snug or loose?

probably snug. I didn't install it myself I had someone weld it. but the stock exhaust pipe IS 3" so the cut out will fit. but you should still measure your pipe just to be 100% positive it's 3".
