Default Exhaust Decision

So I got a stock 96 z28 in february, and I'm looking to do upgrades. I threw in a K&N last week, and I want to put an exhaust on it. I've heard a couple people's flowmasters and magnaflows in person, and they sounded good, but they didn't look very good, weren't very loud, and I'm not sure what kind of performance upgrade it gave them.

I've been looking at higher end exhausts like corsa and borla and I'm really tempted to get one, but those are sometimes more than twice as expensive. What are your opinions on the exhaust that I should get?
Is a corsa or borla really worth it?

Get GMMG. Go to LS1sounds and look at GMMG. You will drool. BTW, where in CA are you?

SLP loudmouth 1 or 2, doesn't really matter. Both setups sound SO sexy and are pretty darn loud and won't hurt your wallet like corsa or borla.

Another option is to get an electrical cutout and keep the stock exhaust. That way it can be quiet or loud when you want it. And trust me, LT1's get LOUD on headers... As in set off car alarms just idling loud. Ask me how I know...

cutouts sound like crap though; loud they may be but they sound like ***.

SLP LM2 is best bang for the buck imo in terms of tone and volume. If you plan on going LT's in the future, go with the LM2 over teh LM1. GMMG sounds good on stock manifolds, but loses its tone with an ORY and headers, plus they weigh a crap-ton

I live in the inland empire. and I'm pretty sure that I don't want the flowmasters, and besides tone and volume, look is also quite important to me so if its not polished stainless then i'm not down. The tips just look terrible. I love the look of the borla, I'll check out craigslist.
