empty camaro
I bought a nice 1997 silver t top 6 speed lt1z28 with chrome wheels with no engine or trans for 500 bucks. I'm 17 and thought this would be a great project car so I found an ls1 motor and I was wondering how hard it would be to install? Its pretty much gutted except for the radiator and miscellaneous other random parts.

here we go again! OK check out the V-6 to V8 thread in the V6 forum. This will be just about the same proceedure to make the swap. These cars are ENGINE SPECIFIC, meaning the wiring and everything else is built to work together and not interchangable. The best way to make the swap happen is to find a totaled doner car swap it all over.

id keep looking for the LT1 motor and save yourself all the trouble of figuring out how to make it work

If you want to put a not stock motor in it, why not go big block and put a 427 or 454 into it. It will be the same amount of work, and bigger payoff at the stop light.
