Default Drivers side window wont go down

So I just bought a 95 z28 camaro for $500, the body is in incredible shape for it having 200k miles on it. Also I bought it with the drivers side window broken out. I have removed the door panel and started to try to install the new window but I can not seem to get the window to roll down or move at all. Its electronic, the passenger side seems to work just fine (its kinda slow) but all that's happened since I pulled the panel off is some kinda of clicking sound near the steering wheel. I cant seem to find out how to move it without pulling the assembly thing apart... Id rather not do that if possible. Hopefully its something simple that I haven't tried. also I'm not entirely sure where the window motor is, that might sound dumb but if i don't ask i wouldn't know.

Any one have any idea what it might possibly be? oh I did check the fuses ^_^

Heavy window+200k miles of use=worn out motor usually. I have a 95 z and my drivers only goes down an inch if that (havent got around to replace it), and the passenger side moves slowly. You can find the motors at salvage yards for about $35.

Hope that helps

if i were you id replace both with new motor/regulator combos (you can get them at autozone for like 60 bucks each) that way you dont have to mess with the spring also when you take them out be careful the tension on the regulator could do some serious damage to your hand

ohh and your going to have to drill the rivets out of the door and the glass i recommend you get a really sharp bit because if you slip off the rivet and hit the glass youll shatter it quick

ok so the green circles (and arrow) are bolts that hold in the tracks these come out... the far right circle is a stop for the glass theres a piece on the inside of the door (mark this you dont want it to move)
the yellow circles are to pull the mirror
the blue circles space the window those come off (mark these)
the black circle is also a stop and again theres a piece inside the rail (mark this too)
the orange circle shows where the motor is
and the red circles are the rivets that have to be drilled out

theres also 3 rivets that hold a track to the glass i recommend drilling those out after you get the glass out this makes it much easier to get it back in then bolt the rail back on after

hope this helps should take anywhere from 30 min to an hr to do depending on your abilities

it's hopeless. Since you paid $500 for a complete 95Z I'll be a nice guy and give you $600 and take the problem off of your hands. That's the kind of guy I am.
