doing some resealing and got a few questions
i cant seem to find torque specs from my chilton cd for the following (97 LT1 CAMARO 6SP)
1) rear main seal housing
2) timing chain cover bolts
also while inspecting timing gears and water pump drive shaft i notice the pump shaft is
i little wobbly. is that normal?
and lastly how tight should my timing chain be? if i push on passenger side of chain between gears it moves about 3/8"
i know people will say that since i have the cover off i might as well replace them both. this job started as a clutch replacement and everytime i remove a part it seems like i should go a little deeper. im just filling time during these winter months but i gotta draw a line somewhere. motor is half outa the car now hehe. if i have to do this again i will definately drop the motor out the bottom.
thanx in advance for any help.

1) Rear main seal housing: 11 lb. ft, ; or 15 N.m.
2) Front cover: 100 lb. in. ; or 8.3 lb. ft. ; or 11 N.m.
The pump shaft wobble is normal, but you should replace the shaft seal being that the front cover is off.
The chain is probably stretched and/or the chain & timing gears worn out
