I want to buy a K&N air filter but cannot find the part # for a stock air box for a 97 camaro SS. Any help would be great thanks.

i entered the wix number on the site and it brought up 4 different part numbers...i used the dimensions of each given and compared them to the dimensions of the filter i had...ended up using filter number 33-2048

 

Thanks you I knew you would have the answer. Have you had any problems with your K&N? Cause I keep hearing to not waste my money and buy paper filter.

 

i just bought it a couple weeks ago and have driven it once since its been in, haha...but i've never heard of anyone having problems with one. k&n makes a great product...just follow the directions and the recharging procedure and you will be fine

 

AHHHH DON'T LISTEN TO ME! i lied...i'm sorry...the number of the k&n filter i have is 33-2084...not 2048...man i hope you read this before you order one, haha

i do honestly think its dumb that they don't make one for it by application...i even emailed them again and gave them the dimensions of the wix filter and they said they don't make one for our cars...dumb. you did lead me on the right path though bud!
