The best way to get the job done is to buy the part car (if it still has most of the parts) or another parts car for the generation of your engine (LT1s came in both OBDI and OBDII) and then swap EVERYTHING from one car to the other. You are going to find that things like the antilock brakes, brake lines and fuel lines are all different. Your fuel lines are going to come up next to the shock tower but the LT1 fuel lines (3 of them) come up through the shock tower and are very hard to remove. Good luck with this one, but I would get the parts car and strip your car to nothing. GO to the V6 forum and read the swap sticky.

fuel lines hell...thats the least of my worries lol. im swapping from a 4L to a M6...as for the fuel lines they make braided steel for a reason, i do plan on running the coil on plug setup though, cold day in hell my car Fs up cause of a optispark croaking. im not looking for the fastest, i want relieable, tough and fast. im worried about the rear end...

you will want to pull the wiring, guages and heater assembly out of the V8 car too. OH and a 97 has a different dash assembly than your car so you will need the entire dash as well, including console. Also a 97 is an OBDII car and the fuel system is different than a 93 so you will be needing the tank and lines. I am not sure if that car's antilock brakes are different than yours but if so then the ABS and lines may have to be changed. This is a big project.

Yep. Long gone are the days when the difference between a 6 and 8 cyl car were just the engine mounts and one or two wires.
This is going to be one HUGE project and unless you are doing it just for the sake of saying you did it, it will probably be more effort than it is worth. Just my opinion.
If I was going to do something along these lines, just for the sake of doing it, I would go big or go home. I would figure a way to put a 502 crate engine in there and really have something to talk about when bench racing.
