Default cut lines from oil filter

i had my 94 z28 on a lift yesterday to have some exhaust work done and while under the car i noticed that there were to lines coming from where the oil filter screws in and both of the lines were cut off and pinched at the ends, what were those lines and is this a big problem???

That would have been lines to and from an oil cooler that someone must have removed. And the lines are only pinched, and they aren't leaking? I would feel a lot safer putting some NPT plugs into the fitting openings.
Does the part above the filter look like this piece? Oil Cooler Filter Adapter

thats the oil cooler. coolant is supposed to be goin through the pinched off lines. should be a heater hose that goes from the radiator to the water pump on yours. the aluminum lines are supposed to come out to the front of the motor and that hose would hook into those lines one in one out. gm put it there for a reason but its not the end of the world. its a good idea to have a cooler on it but i think if u use a good synthetic oil u should be ok. i read somewhere gm used mobile 1 synthetic in the lt1 vette without the cooler.

yeah thats the part and the lines arent even pinched that good but they dont leak at all. i think im gonna get rid of this car because now that ive had it for a couple months and looked it over good ive noticed that whoever built it cut ALOT of corners, for instance they did a horrible job putting the exhaust on it has 2 left tips and one of the tail pipes was actually touching the gas tank, thats why i had the exhaust redone.

Oh my bad then. I thought the LT1 oil cooler worked like a conventional one, recirculating the oil. Strange though, my Vette has a temp gauge for the oil as well. And the oil temp is always very close to the engine temp. That was me who was telling about the Vette cooler btw.

theres a heat shield under the gas tank. its not supposed to touch it though. rattles if it does. some people that have a muffler shop do it dont pay attention to whats being put on unless the guy did it himself. lol. anyways hopefully it was somebody that had it serviced. pretty sure the tips are the same so it would seem like one was backwords.
