for a new msd yes. 500 big ones. accel has one thats about half that if i remember right. check around. sumit was the best price i could find for the msd and that was because they dont charge for shipping. ill take the old stock one ive got down to the cannery when i get paid tomorrow and see what itll cost to ship it to nashville. that way if its only 5 or 10 bucks you will be able to see if thats the problem without buying a new one. i know everyone on here would tell you to buy a new one. ive been hearing that theres some cheep ones around but they arent any good. i think there rebuilt. only last for a short time.

 

IT RUNS!!!!

Not sure how long itll run for but for right now it does. It started right up no problem and then i shut it off because nothing else was put back on. So oil in the Opti was the problem. Its coming in thru the vacuum so i have to figure out why and finish putting it back together monday in shop.

So new questions. How important is the smog pump? If its not ill just take it off because it wasnt hooked up to begin with.

And the big one...How hard would it be to get a title for it? Illinois title that is.

 

super. call ill. d o t they will tell you what you need to do for the title. the pump is needed to pass polution/emisson test if you will need to do that in your state. mine was unhooked and didnt seem to bother anything. i did replace it just so its all there and working right. well with all youve done (almost everything is new) it should run really good after new plugs if it needs em.

 

they said that the last person who had the car needed to file for a lost title..but i have no way to contact him. all i have is a bunch of papers from where its been repoed. And back home we dont have emissions so i should be good there.
