Welcome to the forums!!!

Replace the following one at a time and see if it helps the problem:

Spark Plugs and wires
O2 Sensors
ICM
Coil

Also make sure you are getting 41-47 PSI of fuel at the Schrader valve with the car off.

Good luck and kill Rustanks!!!

I think the op meant no not now? I'll wait and see
My advice. Is always check for codes first then go from there
As for the lack of luster and disappointment the gearing IMHO kinda hurts these cars
I'm not sure on an auto z28 but my 6 SPd needs more gear although that puts you at a risk of blowing rear ends so I'm told.

I agree. Gearing would definitely help the "feel" of the car. My '94 Z28 doesnt "feel" like my '90 Vette. Both are 6 speeds but the Camaro is a LT1 and the Vette is the L98. The Vette is way more fun around town because it has about 50+ ft/lbs of torque on the LT1, and torque is what you feel at lower speeds. The LT1 however is a higher revving engine making more horsepower, so on the highway if I punch it in 4th gear, the Camaro responds better than the Vette.

I will say what they others have said and check to make sure everything is in good operating condition, but my experience is that the Camaro just doesnt "feel" fast. I would imagine and auto transmission making that feeling worse.

Really? That is news to me... I always thought that the LT1 is a torquey little monster... Do you think maybe he has taller gears, like 2.73's or something?

Well I just got my butt handed to me by a 4.6 badged mustang and with that being said he could not get no more than 3 cars from me so gears do make a world of difference lol
Not trying to high jack but his car was modded and probably has bolt ins and gears and my old 98gt made 240 rwhp and add 4.10's on top of that he had the edge on me from the word go. I have a tired old 230k lt1 with a cai and coolant bypass mod<lmfao
Translation it's time for some mods!

I dunno, man. I must have a factory freak or something... I raced a 2006 Mustang Shelby GT (not the GT500) and I beat him. I've also hit 160 in my Z. Stock. With the top down...

On another note, how loud do these cars get when running straight long tube headers?
