so i originally bought my 97 z28 this past april with minimal front end damage i have since repainted the area the best i could......the other day i sent my baby into a trailer hitch mounted onto the back of an explorer.....i have been workin on repaintin the area but it is very hard to get the finish to blend smoothly with the rest of the front bumper....i am now thinking about getting it done at a shop.....does anyone have an estimate for this????It is cayenne red(not common around here, michigan) i have also found ads for new bumpers painted to match on ebay for about 320 after shipping???? Any suggestions would be great....

If the old paint matched the rest of the car I would make sure to save some of the paint you took off, or make sure that they can match the paint color. But maaco did a nice job on painting my new fenders on my eclipse. The color matched, but you could tell theyweren't done on the car since the clear coat didn't match up. I only paid 200 bucks for my fenders paint job. they were pre prepped by myself though.
If you have the skill, and extra money sedn the part into maaco for the paint job. don't get a clear coat. While they are doing yourbumper take the clear coat off your car. Install your bumper, then send the whole car in for clear coating.
