Cool Cooling fans?

My cooling fans in my 96 Lt1 m6 camaro have been acting up. At first they were turning on at weird times, and now they dont turn on at all. I hooked one of the fans up to a hotwire just to see if it worked. and it does. I didnt check the other one cause i figure its a wiring issue. I checked the harness that the fans run to and it is fine... i think. I dont really know how to check the relays though or if their is another wire harness i need to check. Any help would be great.
thanks

heat sensor on the front driver side of the water pump tells the comperter what the temp is so it knows when to turn the fans on. relays usually dont go out together so one fan would be working and not the other, the relays are interchangable so if one is working and not the other u can change them and see if its the relay.

ya i will check that sensor, but the only reason i noticed that my fans werent working, is that the temp was going through the roof at stop lights. so...

the temp gage sensor is a different one than the engine temp sensor.

just keep an eye on the temp and flick on the A/C which turns on the cooling fans. That will get you by as you figure out the cause.
