coolant level and electrical problems
 

ok my gauges indicate that i need coolant. I dont though, i checked it and refilled to the top. why is the light still indicating that i need more coolant? i ran it through and everything. thats one problem...
the next is, sometimes when i am driving my radio just randomly shuts off, when this happens my windows will not go down either, but everything else works. After a minute of no radio, it will come back on and everything works fine...this has been on and off for the past 2 weeks. anyone know whats up?

you might need a new coolant sensor, check the fuses

A fuse will not make the radio go off and then back on.. If something loses power due to a fuse.. It ain't comin back til you replace the fuse.

As far as the coolant light, disconnect your battery for 5 mins, let the computer reset... Post results..

Low coolant lite when there is enough coolant can be caused by a gunked up or bad coolant level sensor, or by an open circuit on the coolant sensor leads. Unplug the wires from the sensor & short them together and the lite should go off, if it does not you have a wiring problem. If the lite goes off, you have a sensor problem. In this case try removing and cleaning the sensor, if it still does't work, replace it.

As for the radio and power windows, both of these items are connect to the Retained Power Module. It could be an intermittent connection to the module or the module itself going bad.

that module thing sounds expensive...are they? and are they hard to replace?

Not hard to replace but probably expensive. I would check all wiring and connection before changing out the module. All the module does is to provide power to the windows & radio for about 10 minutes after the engine is turned off.
