Yes, I've looked at this site before and like the idea BUT for some unknown reason I want to learn to program it myself. I have the Motes cable and can communicate with the ECU via EEHACK and can also download the tune via FLASHHACK. When I download and save the tune I have no idea where it went!!! I also have a fear of bricking the ECU.

I do have a spare ECU that I could (should) send for tuning. Thanks for your input Craby.

Either the MAF code or Missing Knock Sensor code should stop it from going closed loop if they are hard codes. Which it sounds like they are a soft code is just telling you it happened once a hard code means its happening now. If you can log data your scan tool should tell you if you are in closed loop. You should also be able to see the the Volt reading for the MAP sensor. This could help figure out the Map issue. If you unplugged the MAP sensor I thought there should be a soft code. A soft code should not go away for (I forget the number ) 30 ish starts with no problems.
