Default coilpacks insted of optispark???

iam currentlyputting a turbo in my 93z,i have redone the hole fuel system and was going through some parts i have down my shop and came across a set of coil packs off of a northstar engine.i was wondering if there is any way to get rid of the pain in the @$$ optispark and replace it with them,or anything else other than the optispark? if anyone was herd of someone changing the optispark could you lead me in the right direction??

There is a company out there that makes a replacement for the Opti. That being said I would never go for it because it clutters up an already over cluttered engine bay, but that's just my $0.02. Search around on google and you should be able to find it (the actual name of the company is escaping my memory).

Edit: And since I can't send PM's right now, could you please reduce the size of your sig pic for us, the forum rules allow a 250x500 image, thanks.

Either way, you still need to use the low voltage section of the optispark to provide the PCM with crank and camshaft timing signals.
