Default Car wont try to turn over.

pretty often when I go to drive my car after ive driven remotely recently it wont start. All of my accessories work and it will push start. Ive heard it could be my clutch, nuetral safety switch or my ignition switch? Any ideas how I could test them?

Does your security light come on when this is happening?

No, the starter isnt clicking. Its as if the clutch pedal isnt pushed in. It doesnt do anything except maybe make my stereo lights dim a bit when I turn the key.

Have you tried a different battery? This may seem odd, but my s10 started doing this over the summer and I thought my starter was burning out because every once in a while after a longer trip my truck wouldn't want to turn or it would turn really really slowly. I took the battery out of my camaro and it swapped it in and what do ya know it solved the issue. The battery in my truck turned out to be 8 years old...so it just died...happens and then they don't hold enough to crank engine. So while it may seem dumb, have the battery tested or swap one in from another car for a while and see what happens. Ur dimming lights are also a sign of charge issues.

confirm that you are not getting power to the solonoid's small wire when the key is turned to the start position. if no power then go to the clutch switch and confirm you are getting power to it and have power coming out when the clutch is pushed in and the key is in the start position

Just for certainty, which wires exactly are those?

I don't know why you're surprised that the car won't start then.

Next time it does this try to hit the starter with a hammer. IT does not have to be a big one just one that can shake it a little. If it starts after that replace the starter. If not then check the safety interlocks.
