Default Camshaft

Can anyone tell me about this cam? LT1 Extreme 280XFI HR-13 I ran into a guy locally who has this cam forsale. Just wondering if anyone uses it or knows if its any good. I looked for it online and couldnt really find anything. I was leaning more towards the cc306 or cc503 or possibly one of loyd elliots cams, but the price is very good for this one...

its a pretty small cam. i don't think you'd be happy with it. very comparable to the hotcam. i'd go with something like a cc503 or a custom grind from lloyd elliott

All the above info is incorrect for this cam. It's much larger than the Hotcam, the 503 and the 306. The correct p/n is compcams 07-467-8 and most likely require ported heads.

if your not sure if its right for you ask around or even talk to someone at compcams they have helped me out in the past.

that cam looks pretty healthy to me. its definitely larger the the hot cam. 230/236 duration and 576/570 lift with 1.6 rockers thats not small. im not a cam expert thats why i went custom but this isnt too small. id still call someone for a custom cam it'd be better than anything u could get off the shelf

yeah looking at craby's new link i have since changed my opinion, lol.

that cam is actually pretty healthy for a stock headed car. you'd probably want some minor(at least) head work done to run that cam.

i haven't been to lloyd's site in a while, but he had a 223/230 cam that i heard good things about and AI had a 226/234 cam i tried going with before my stock engine blew up
