Default Which Cam?

I've been thinking about putting more hp in my 95z. I use it everyday so i dont want it too aggressive but i want something were i can feel the difference. the lt4kit is a little expensive for me , im kinda on a budget. Does anyone know any cams or kits and what the hp gain would be. I dont know allot when it comes to picking a cam. can i just put a different cam in there and thats it or do i need to change stuff on the top end too?

if the lt4 kit is too expensive then dont even think about camming, lt4 is as cheap as you get

The lt4 kit is for heads/cam/everything. You can get better results from the hot cam, and like ali said it's much less expensive.

i mean it is good to get the package, and its good to have better flowing heads, but the lt4 is only a mild setup.the heads might give you another 25-30 hp, but you will be fine with the lt4 hot cam kit and a tune

Indeed. Upgrades are always nice all around.

But, just saying, for the same price you could just get a good P&P, cam, and all the goodies to make quite a few more horses over the lt4 kit.

I think what Ali is trying to say is the LT4 kit is expensive for the power gain. For the same money you can get ~100+ HP if you pick your components correctly.

I think most people say that! :P

Isn't there a sticky somewhere explaining how much of a joke the lt4 kit is? If not, there should be. *WINK* slvr!

did anyone ask if he's even to the point of adding a cam? you need the proper bolt-ons before you should even consider a cam swap
