auto trans in 93 Z28
 

Just wondering what auto transmission came in the 93 Z28?? Is it still the 700R4 or was it the newer version 4L60?? I know they are basically the same thing but I'm thinking of getting a shift kit for it and want to know what to order. Thanks I'm new to Camaros so Im gathering all the info I can. This forum is great.

i believe it came with a 4L60. I just got mine tranny redone, went from a 1,900 stall (which is stock) to a 2,800 stall converter. I'm putting in a 3,500 in a few months after my exhaust. I got the 2,800 for free from a friend :). anyways, i got new clutches, and get energy suspention mounts with a B&M shift kit. To top is off get a 100 wet shot of nitrous and a soild exhaust system with headers and you'll see high 12's in no time!

4L60 is your tranny. The 4l60E is a different thing.

Thanks guys!! This car has a K&N CAI, full flowmaster exhaust system (manifolds back;no cats), MSD ignition, and a computer programmer. Just thinking that a shift kit will probably help out. Will hopefully pick it up this weekend if everything works out! Just thinking ahead for the future.
