Anyone use one of these before?

Anyone ever use on of these kits? If so, worth it or not?

unless you have a wiring issue id say its not needed.

I know but they claim 365 hp on an otherwise stock lt1. Sounds a little too good to be true just tryin to see if its credible or not.

You get what you pay for. $1,300 sounds pretty hefty. You should get a hefty improvement from it.

Let's see, it comes with a new ECM and cam, and they claim upto 365 hp from an otherwise stock LT1.
You might see that kind of improvement out of a Corvette, or F-Body LT1, but I really doubt that you would see that out of a Buick / Impalla LT1. Overall, I tend to doubt that you would see those numbers out of an otherwise stock F-Body LT1.

It sounds like it may be worth it, but I aint got the cash. I was just curious about it cause that sounded a little exagerated. If it is true though it's definately worth it, in my opinion.

Powerblocktv uses Painless Performance products all the time.

Honestly, if you got those numbers, then it would be worth it. However, the stock LT1 heads are only going to flow so well, and the same for the exhaust manifolds. The stock TB is only going to allow so much air into the engine.

Since there were several different versions of the LT1s during their production run, some with iron head, some with aluminum, some with better exhaust manifolds than others, I find their claims to be a little too good to be true.

You can definitely get well over 365 HP from an LT1, but you will need some head and intake work, as well as some exhaust work and a new tune and cam.

Without seeing the numbers, using only their kit on an otherwise stock F-Body LT1, I will remain skeptical.

check out the web site

you basically get a comp cams part # 07-502-8 but no valve springs, those you must purchase from comp cams

So, you get a camshaft, an ecu and a wiring harness

why not buy the cam yourself, get a tune from Solomon and put on some headers which that cam could use and obtain better results ???
