Default anyone with a C4 Corvette???

im going to be reassembling a 93 lt1 that someone else took apart and installing it and the trans back in the vette

as of now i only have 1 question... does the motor go in the top or bottom

Wait, didn't the C4 come with a transaxle? Or is your setup from a 'vette as well?

I know that the engine and tranny in the C5's go in from the bottom.

Engine comes out the top, no question. It's not a "drop the cradle" deal like the Camaro is. And to the other question, a rear transaxle is not a C4 thing, it has a conventional engine mounted trans.

Camaro69 is right. I currently have the engine out of my '90 Vette. I personally think it is easier to bolt the transmission in after the engine is in. Otherwise the car has to be pretty high off the ground to do it with the transmission attached.
