My airbag light recently turned on and I'm assuming its because of the front impact sensor under the hood since I know the car was in a frontend collision before I got it. The one thing I'm wondering tho is what this thing is for? I noticed the vacuum line running from it was split in two but I couldn't find where the other split end was in the car. So I'm wondering what will it hurt if i don't put it back on and what is it for?

 

that is your vacuum reserve tank. its used in the operation of the heater, brakes, evap, stuff like that.

 

So you wouldn't happen to know where the other end of the line is supposed to connect would ya?
