Aftermarket TB IAC Isolation Solution
Hi All,
I have a professional products 58mm throttle body with the dreaded non isolated IAC passage way commonly seem with aftermarket throttle bodies. I am chasing split BLM's at idle and this was one of the solutions to keep air out of the main plenum at idle. I counterbored and press fit in an aluminum tube, the BBK gasket uses a round hole around the IAc hole so it seals the tube perfectly. I have seen this done with copper tubes and epoxy but couldn't get over the idea of epoxy coming loose and going into the engine. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/camarof...a28bae8c7.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/camarof...c1240c31d.jpeg |
did it work

This has worked great, I had to open up the "drill hole" to give more air as air was not bleeding into the plenum anymore.
