Hey critt! I know this sounds silly but it just happened to me. Check and see if you have any bulbs burnt out in the rear. GM dyno found that one for me. Neither myself or the service guy could believe it. Hope it's that simple!

Yep, check the brake light in the spoiler and if that is not it, there is one sensor mounted in the rear on the axle and one in each front wheel hub. Check the wiring running to the front wheel hubs to make sure that they are not damaged. If it is the a front sensor, you have to replace the entire wheel hub. Hopefully it is just the light in the rear.

Definitely check the wiring if you have had a motor put in. Whoever put the motor in, (if they dropped the motor from the bottom) might have forgotten to plug them back up.

I just looked and there were sensors pluged into the front hubs but there were alto 2 other harness plugs that were just hanging there by both wheels.... and the right bulb on my spoiler was out. but the left one was on. could that really be it?

The third brake lights being burnt out can definitely cause the ABS INOP light to come on. It is a problem with how the rear sensor gets its power. A simple design flaw in my opinion. Is your cruise control inop also?

The ABS wiring should be running down the inside of both front fender wells down to the A arms where they connect to the ABS sensor. If you follow the wiring from the ABS sensor on the wheet back is it connected to any wiring harness? If not, those hanging down are probably needing to be connected to the pig tails coming out of the hub.

the cruise control should run off the vehicle speed sensor on the trans tail shaft. there are 02 sensor plugins down there too. otherwise wheel abs sensor is the only thing i can think of. how many wires to the plugins and what color?
