Question 94 Z28 help???

My mechanic replaced my distributor and water pump on my 1994 Z28 and afterwards it was shaking, backfiring, stumbling, and it would turn off as soon as I begin to realease the clutch.......... What did he do wrong???

Hard to say since we weren't watching over his shoulder. He could have crossed the plug wires (that's my best guess), missed a sensor wire hookup, broken a sensor, etc. It would be a good idea to go back and have him fix it the right way. It makes me wonder, did he even take it for a test drive? And did you turn right back around after picking up the car and bring it back to him?

Gonna have to agree with 69 sounds like crossed plug wires. Easy to do if he didn't mark them in some way...

would love to hear what was overlooked by the mechanic

don't want to know what he paid for an opti/waterpump replacement
