Can anyone direct me to the best procedure for removing the heads from a 94 Z28?
I can't even get the plugs out, much less the exhaust manifolds bolts, from the top. My skinny old arms don't fit past the fender wells.
Many thanks...

I am reading through the procedure from a Haynes manual and wondering how I am going to get to all those parts myself. Replacing head gaskets on a 94 Z is my next project. There sure don't look to be alot of room under that hood, and I thought the 3.8's were tight. I am guessing that you will have more luck getting to the manifold bolts from the bottom.

The Haynes manual doesn't offer much insight.
My Z is also a 94. I was able to remove the intake without much trouble. BUT...that's where everything stopped.
I agree with you, there must be a better way to remove the plugs, manifolds etc. from below.
There must be a detailed procedure some where.

once u get all the stuff out of the way its not so bad. u will most likely need a swivel head rachet and swivel joint for the socket at one point or another.
i would suggest u pick up a factory service manual for your yr and model.
