Hey..... I recently put a rebuilt 4l60e tranny in my 94 Z and filled it up with fluid and when I took it for a drive I noticed a bunch of smoke coming out of my scoop.. so I pulled over poped the hood and the tranny tube blew the dipstick out about 6inches and there was fluid everywhere.. So I figured maybe I over filled it..checked it and it was kind of low.. so I let it go and started it back up and headed home and when I was pulling in I seen the same thing again..poped the hood, got out and sure enough the same thing... So now idk whats going on its low on tranny fluid and still blowing fluid out of the tube!! Only thing else I could think of was the overflow tube on top... cant really get to the top of it but I pulled it to the side and theres no dirt or anything in the tip of it so idk? Hopfully someone can help!!

 

if your trans seems to be working and shifting okay, i would suggest a locking trans dipstick...i had a previous lt1 with a shift kit and it would always throw my dipstick out a few inches....yours could possibly be throwing the dipstick out of the trans tub and when your driving it could shoot a little amount of trans fluid on your motor and causing it too smoke...first suggestion, get a locking trans dipstick
