94 z28 not firing
 

Ok guys got a good one here. i have a 94 z28 with the lt1 in it i just replaced the water pump and the distriputor with new cap and rotor put everything back together and fired it up after a few tries. then killed it and let it set for about an hour then fired it back up pulling it out of my shop and it just died and will not fire up. checked for spark and i have no spark at the coil. what might i need to do to get spark at the coil. i also do not have spark at the plugs either. thanks

optispark is shot...probably get wet when your water pump went out...change it and it should be good to go

just put new opti in when put the water pump in.

sounds to me like it has to be something in the opti...where did you get it?

i got it at auto zone about a week ago. it worked fine at first then when i went to move the car it died on me and i cant get it started back up because of no spark.

i'm still going to have to say its the opti...just because a part is new doesn't mean its good...ya know? that's where i'd start anyway
