Default 94 LT1 miss

alright i recently picked up a 94 lt1 6 speed, it has a miss when it is warm at low rpms but if you step on it it clears out, the guy i bought it off of said fuel pump but theres two issues with that 1.) i tested fuel pressure and it shot straight to 41 psi and held 2.) if i step on it it clears out a fuel pump would make it die right? i changed plugs and wires and put both bank 1 #1 02 sensors in it, it will shoot a code after it is run for about a half hour and it runs great when the light is on, but the light doesnt stay on long, im lost any ideas? thanks

the car is trying to tell you whats wrong. have it scanned for codes. let us know what comes up. could be a number of things and to try and do all will cost big bucks.

That is what mine was doing awhile back. I let it go for awhile since I kept trying to find the source of the problem. Eventually it got worse and would 'miss' or buck throughout all rpm ranges. Turns out, after numerous sensor checks etc, that the culprit was my opti. I got the opti off and opened up and there was fluid and burnt residue from dried up fluids all over the opti and the cam sensor. So to me, it seems very similar and will prob get worse the longer you let it go. Mine wasn't drivable once it started getting worse, for fear of breaking something. New opti, new wires, new plugs, all is perfect now.

Chances are if you have a miss at low RPM you also have a miss at high RPM. The higher RPM mask the miss, but it is still there. Try hooking up an OBDI scanner and see what the code is when the lamp lights.

ses light does not need to be on to get codes. 94 is a odd year and not all scanners will work with it. what scanner you useing.
