93 z28 question
Just a little more information for ya bow tie. The new transmissions are classified by 4 being the number of foward gears. The L being longitudal or T for transverse. The 60 is the strength rating which i believe is 360 ft lbs, don't quote me on that though
. And like 69 said before the E stands for electronically controlled.

is there any benifits of the electronicly controled versions?? Heres another question that boggled my mind about these stupid transmissions since we're on the subject. I know on the 94-96ish Trans Ams, they had a "performance shift" where it would pretty much slam second gear hard, which was kinda cool, was this a option on camaros?? what made it do that just by hitting a button?
I'm sorry the 60 stands for GVW at 6,000 pounds. And that "performance shift" I haven't even heard of so I can't help you there. But that's gotta be nice to chirp second in an automatic. My stick will chirp third
You would be referring to the "Corvette" style servo. You can upgrade your transmission fairly easily with one. It mounts into the side of the trans.
This shows what is it, not necessarily recommending the vendor.
