Default 93 z28 question

on all newer cars that i drive that are automatics, when you let off the gas, the rpm's go down and it kicks into what seems like neutral. my friend has a 93 z28 and when he lets off the gas, it stays in OD and will not go into neutral. whats up with that?

lol my friend loves it because you can slow down from 60 to 45 in about 8 seconds when he lets off the throttle.

It's called a 4L60 (without the E), which is just an updated name for the 700R4.

What about power handling? 700R4's were only good to @ 300hp factory. Since the LT1's have almost that much stock, what hp is a stock 4L60 good for?
