Default 383 Stroker, supercharged.

I have a 94 LT1 (4 bolt main) engine that has about 1,500 miles, brand new. I have had the cylender heads bored out 1/8" and port and pollished, I am also wanting to put a 383 stroker kit into it and run a Vorteck Super charger.

Few questions - I am having trouble deciding what compression ration to run with. I am thinking 10 to 1. I am also having a hard time finding out what cubic centimeter the piston are( 94 lT1)? I think they are 54cc. also. this is the first time I have ever run a supercharger and I am not sure what PSI to get. The Stroker kit I am getting has forged piston heads and rods, just not sure what size I need to go.

if any one has any help or has done a project like this I sure could use as much info as you can give me.. thanks.

Default RE: 383 Stroker, supercharged.

First time I ever hears of heads being bored, ported maybe ??

10 to 1 compression is too high if you want to make real power with a supercharger. Go down to about 8:1 and run the supercharger at about 20 PSI. Being you going to have a 4 bolt with forged internals, your engine should stay toghether fine. Hopefully the whole piston is forged and just not the heads. Make sure it is going to get enough fuel, otherwise it will combust your pistons, forged or otherwise. You will also need some serious PCM tuning, and fuel sytem upgrading.
