Hey guys im new to the forum.. and im looking to buy a z28 camaro.

This guy says he put in a 383 stroker with 3k on it, and its putting out 400hp

Im new to camaro's but i did a KBB on it and its only worth around 4500, but is this a good deal?

And Would this car really be able to put out 400hp?

If the guy says he put a 383 stroker motor in it and it has 3000 miles on it more than likely he didn't drive it easy, so if you are going to have it as a daily driver you may run into some problems later down the road, its just what you run into with a modified engine. However if you're going to race it then you would probably have some luck with it. Since he is asking 9500 for it Iwould try to bring him down alot or just not buy it all since its only worth 4500 stock. Where Im from I could buy a T/A with 383 stroker with all the mods and even NoS for 7500-8000 so it's your call. If you have the money to put into it if something goes wrong and if you have the money I'd say do what you want.

 

Ya it would be my daily driver, so i probably wont pursue it.

What do you recomend as a daily driver? Just a stock Z28 or something, or maybe a SS?

I can spend up to about 10k, so i want a powerful car.. gas mileage isn't too important because its not like im commuting a lot.

Do you think that car really makes 400+ hp though?

If I could find a stock SS for 10k or cheaper I would get it but Im sure that car could put out 400hp or just alittle less than that. If you can find a SS for that buy it becuase the LS1 owns and if not a a Z28 will be just fine you could mod it also Good Luck!!
