Default 1994 z28 oil pressure NEED HELP

I just recently purchased a 94 z28 that is completely stock I'm assuming as there is no intake or exhaust, the only thing I have noticed is a polished intake maniflod but that might be stock too i do not know. When i brought it home I put thirty miles on it and put it in the garage. I went back out to change the oil, air filter, plugs, and front brakes. After I had all of it done i went to start the car and it started but ran rough for maybe a couple seconds then started running fine. Without realizing it i let it run for maybe 20 seconds and the check gauges was on and the oil pressure gauge was at zero, and yes I did put oil in it. If anyone could help id sure appreciate it.

Check to make sure you didn't knock the wires off the oil pressure switch. On early 1994 and older, the switch will be down on the drivers side of the block, above the oil filter boss. On late 94-up, the switch is at the back of the block, below the EGR valve.

well my oil fill is on the passenger side of the block so I am guessing it would be by the egr...and where is that located?

what kind of oil filter are you using? is the motor ticking or knocking? would be a good idea to hook a mechanical gauge to it to make sure your getting pressure. you have checked the dipstick for the oil level right?

sounds like you probably have oil pressure of some type, otherwise you would've seized your motor by short drive you did. if your gauge is still not working i would get a mechanical oil pressure test gauge and screw it in were your oil pressure switch is by the oil filter, also check the air filter you installed and make sure its in right and not staving the engine of air, also make sure you got the right spark plugs and make sure your plug wires are on good, sometimes even if the plug wire boot is on the plug the actual connection might not be good enough after the engine gets warm it will possibly separate from the plug at the higher rpms and it will seem fine at idle rpms.

I am using a FRAM ToughGaurd oil filter, the motor is not ticking or knocking and the oil level is full
