Default Camaro takes about 10 seconds to start?

Hey everyone i have a 1995 camaro z28, auto, 150k. only modifactions are a shift kit, and some kind of chip(bought it this way) The car always takes some time to start, it never just starts right up when you crank the starter. sometimes it will take about 3-4 seconds, but other times it will take a good solid 10 seconds of cranking for it to start. the car always eventually starts though, and it runs great after its started. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Yes idk much about gm fuel pumps, or if they would have the same problems as some of the mopar fuel pumps do. There is a check valve in the fuel pump which holds the fuel pressure up so you can start it easier. If the check valve goes bad it loses all the pressure and takes the pump longer to build the pressure back up.
