Default Strut Tower Brace information needed.........

I want to put a strut tower brace on the SS and want to install it myself. Is it hard? Is drilling involved? Is there any videos or tutors online that will show me how to install it, I couldnt find anything? Thanks.

Yea, I just found out how to do it, everything looks real easy but the only thing is the passenger side of the strut has the brake wires in the way, I'm afraid to push them out of the way lol.

you can bend the lines slightly just be careful not to crease or crack them take your time and use the palm of your hand to move them out of the way

Easy as pie -- easiest suspension mod, just bolts-in.

BUT, you should be replacing all four De Carbon/Delphi shocks with SLP Bilsteins or Koni SAs and adding Strano 35/22 hollow sway bars TOO! ;-) Stock shocks suck, and the sways will really cut body roll.

He desires information about a strut bar, not those stupid shocks that you keep promoting.

Yes, please I'm only trying to do the strut bar, could care less about the sway bar, shocks, etc. It's an SS, so the suspension are SLP performance already. And the strut bar is real easy to put on but man I'm scared to hurt the brake lines, it's REALLY stiff and hard.

What make/model shock tower brace (no struts on 4th Gens) do you have? I never had any issues with brake lines coming close.

Post a picture showing your concern.

Just because your car is an SS does not = anything other than De Carbon/Delphi shocks -- you would have to check specific options for your vehicle.

Just leave the shocks alone for now. Those shocks that Liberty suggests in EVERY thread that he posts in are like $500 per set. I'd much rather get long tube headers and a Y-pipe for that much.

Long tube headers and y-pipe is actually my plan for the summer But that shock stuff or watever I'll eventually do it, but not for awhile, I want to do the basics first, I just got this car. So first plan is slp air box lid with k & n filter, strut tower brace and then hooker long tube headers, ima just leave the exhaust as is.
