starting problem

I have a fantastic 2000 Camaro Convertable that I love! But I have two little problems that I could use some advice on. It starts every time on the first crank but once every several months it refuses to start. This happens when I make 7 or 8 stops within an hours time. It will not crank. The panel lights come on. I have to wait 45 minutes to an hour, than it will start every day for about 2 months or so. My second problem is that I seem to have a slow leak in a tire- but it is in a different tire each time! 1 (so -called) mechanic said there is rust on the inside of the rim that causes the seal to go bad and the rims need to be replaced. This didn't seem to make sense. Any body have any info on either of these problems?

RE: starting problem

The only thing I can think of on the no start is ot check the grounds. Yes the rims can have corrosion on the lip that can cause a slow leak, most times if the tire is removed the rim can be cleaned adn a sealant added to fix it. I highly doubt that the rims need to be replaced.
