Prothane trans mount

I just recently replaced my broken stock trans mount with a prothane motion control mount from summit and i noticed driving home a slight vibration shrugged it off being a harder material than standard rubber but the next morning going to work going down the freeway from 60 on it has a really noticiable vibration/thumping sound that you can feel in the seat and center console area big time. More of a thumping because you can feel the thump in the shifter. Anyone ever heard of any kinda issues similar before??? Motor mounts are still factory also.

Yea my car is doing the same thing around 50mph. I think its just the way it is with a poly trans mount...and I have heard the A4's are worse than the T56

switch back to a stock mount. there cheap and easy. takes about 10 to 15 minutes, maybe more if it takes a while to raise and support the car. vibration transfer on mine was bad with the poly mount,

I'm having trouble getting a stock replacement from the local parts places. I guess I will have to order one online or just wait to do my conversion and live with it for now.

The stiffer poly mount will transfer more vibrations through to the body of the car. But sorry guys, it isn't going to create a "thump" noise, it's going to make an existing thump more noticeable. Sounds like he's got something else making the thump that the rubber mount was masking, and now he can hear and feel it. Bad u-joints, worn trans output shaft bearing, or a worn pinion bearing perhaps.

so its safe so say go with regular gm mounts?
