Ls7 swap?

Yea I plan on doing all the supporting mods to make that kind of power I'm tearing it apart next year and pretty much replacing everything with the parts to handle that kind of power. I'm just wondering if I were to do the ls6 conversion and beef up the 4l60e if it could take it, but apparently that's a no. I plan on making it a street/ strip car. I was asking if I could just bolt the seven in with the stock motor mount locations of course I would change the tranny and rear end in the process.

Gotcha, well you're gonna need a 10-12pt cage to start, plus if you crack 9.99s you'll need a window net.
Do you want to do this on motor? n20? turbo?
a stock 6.0 block with a killer cam and a VERY GOOD set of heads, some long tubes plus a 150 shot should do it. The 4l60e won't hold up unless you REALLY build it. Probably looking into a 4l80 or th400. You're gonna need to cut some weight out of the car probably need it in the 3300-3500lbs range w/ driver. You'll need a 9 inch, either drag radials or slicks, pick your torque arm, you'll need good adjustable shocks all around (qa1s or strange) some v6 springs or drag springs will help and a LOT of seat time/tuning time. But it should do it
thats about 12-15k right there EASILY, I hope you have deep pockets, going that fast isn't cheap or easy, guys work on their cars for YEARS to get it to go that fast

I realize this I'm ready to spend the money and put the time in I want to supercharge it and try to avoid nitrous I know that will add a solid 7 grand but I'm not a big fan of nitrous. I already have a decent set of radials for it. As far as modifying the ls1 what do you think it would take? I was thinking a decent size cam a nice new set of heads headers and a procharger 4l80 with a stall. The 10 bolt rear end 3:73's. Think that would get me there?

9 inch, even though you are an A4, that is too much power for the 10 bolt; hell stock power is too much for it. I'd go 9 inch first or at least moser 12 bolt, then H/C/I then procharge. Any idea on what size cam you want to run? TR228r is a great mild cam that might pair well with boost, but I'm a sucker for the MS3 and MS4.

I would go with a 9 inch. My friend is expecting 9s out of his car that we just put a built TSP 427 in. He has 8 grand in the longblock along. Add a built trans, heavy duty clutch, FAST LSXR 102mm, longtubes, Coilovers, full suspension, cage, fuel system, slicks, tuning, it adds up really fast. Also, don't go from a stock ls1 to a 9 sec car. You will not know how to handle it and probably break something/crash the car. Start with h/c/i and that should end you up in the 11s.
