Ls7 swap?

Ls7 swap?
Ok so I am looking into a number of build ideas for my 98z and I'm thinking about an ls7 swap I know where I can get one with a tranny for a decent price and I was curious to know if anyone knew whether or not the ls7 would bolt right in and would the tranny fit as well or if I will need to do some fabricating. Also would the ls1 series computer and wiring harness work or would I need all of that as well? If not I'll probably just go to warhawk and get the 454 ls series engine. Any help/ comments/ thoughts would be awesome. Thanks guys (or gals)

I was afraid you'd say that. My camaro is an auto I don't exactly want to switch to a manual. I have heard of people bolting ls6's up to a 4L60e just browsing other sites I might have to try some other forum and find someone that has done it.

High mileage I was going to rebuild that put it in an s10 for my friend. But if I can't get a deal on an ls6 I'll just build the ls1 I want to hit the 550 hp area

Plus, once you make that much power, will you have the rear end/suspension to handle that much power? Do you have enough money to make sure when not if you break the car, to fix it? 550hp is A LOT of power, my suggestion is to find someone around you that has a heads/cam car and have them take you for a ride, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how fast a 400whp car is

get a good cam with a lot of low end fun and some 3.73 or 4.10. Unless you go the strip, that will be the most fun you can have, after all the low end accelartion is the best part. Still probably need a new rear end though, lol 10 bolts are syk

Yea I plan on doing all the supporting mods to make that kind of power I'm tearing it apart next year and pretty much replacing everything with the parts to handle that kind of power. I'm just wondering if I were to do the ls6 conversion and beef up the 4l60e if it could take it, but apparently that's a no. I plan on making it a street/ strip car. I was asking if I could just bolt the seven in with the stock motor mount locations of course I would change the tranny and rear end in the process.
