150-250hp nitrous shot
#2
How many miles do you have on the motor? If it's low mileage, in good running order, and hasn't had any previous issues, a 150 shot should be safe WITH A GOOD TUNE.
Anything higher though, and you might as well just get the funds for fully forged internals together.
Unless you posted in the wrong section, which from your name (camaro305) sounds like a correct assumption. If you've actually got a 3rd gen with a 305, then you should go post in the right section. But to answer your question, don't even think about any kind of substantial amount of nitrous going through a 305...

He is right on. A LS1 can handle a 150 shot of happy gas with a few supporting mods and a good tune. however you are starting to push it at that point. I recomend a stand alone nitrous system at this point.

actually ive seen a good amount of guys sprayin 200 shots on stock bottom end ls1's (i wouldnt) they seem to hold pretty well too. and i wouldnt bother with a stand alone till your running more then a 150 shot but it wouldnt hurt.
